The cubeReader is a powerful and compact gel card reader for the digital evaluation of immunohematological gel cards. In combination with the cubeEvaluation software, the system offers an automated, reproducible, and precise analysis of blood group determinations and antibody screening tests based on gel card technology.
The device can be used independently of the manufacturer and supports various gel card systems. A particular strength lies in the modular card holder, which is available in several variants for different card types. This enables the complete optical capture of the entire gel card, including the labeling field – a decisive advantage for manual control and documentation.
Additionally, there is the option to also image the card from the back. This optional backside image capture can be used for extended documentation, visual inspection, or for special evaluation procedures.
The integrated camera delivers detailed image recordings for a reliable and consistent evaluation. After inserting the gel card, the device automatically recognizes the card and starts the evaluation process independently. The cubeReader is suitable for both single tests and for serial processing in batch mode, whereby larger test quantities can also be processed efficiently.
For data transmission and communication with the evaluation software, the gel card reader offers a wide range of interfaces: Bluetooth, WLAN, Ethernet and USB ensure flexible integration into existing IT and laboratory infrastructures – both stationary and mobile.
