The cubeReader is a compact device for imaging and evaluating immunohematology gel cards. All image processing and evaluation run on the device itself, and it is operated through a web browser.
The card is inserted from the top and drawn in by a holder. While the image is captured, the device reads the barcode and then ejects the card.
There are three operating modes. Standalone: the cubeEvaluation software runs on the device. Connected: the cubeReader works with a cubeEvaluation instance on a separate PC or central server. Vision sensor: the device acts as a camera unit and delivers images to third-party systems and automated laboratory lines.
An LED ring around the card slot shows the device status.
